Default Dealer has a 2001 with 34,700 miles asking $37,995...

He said that they would be willing to deal on this car vs. the 2002 with 12,000 miles at $38.995.

A) Is this a good car, from a vintage and mileage standpoint?

B) What should I be able to buy it for?

Thanks for you insight.

Default This is the "retail" price I found on my car...

...nearly identical even to the miles, on NADA and Kelly's. These prices are regional (I'm in New Mexico), though.

If you can get him down some and get an extended warranty thrown in, it's worth considering seriously.

Default That's too high....

Used Car market is dead right now. Deals are routinely made at near trade in value. If you walk in to a dealer and ask what they'll give you for a trade, they'll offer BELOW wholesale trade in right now. So I say offer slightly above trade in value, and spend the extra money on a extended warranty.

Check on ebay. They ususally have a good selection of allroads for sale.

Just bought an Audi Assured 2001 allroad, 29,500 miles, loaded except for third seat, CD changer, and navigation. $34,000. I think you can work them down.
