Default Dealer wants their loaner back

the GM just called, asking me to bring back his loaner car and pick my car up.

He thought I was holding the loaner hostage. I told him this was the first time anyone asked for it back.

I won't take my car though.

He said he wanted to work this out. I told him he'd be working it out with my attorney tomorrow.

Default This is the way to do it...

They lied to you and basically broke a contract...

By just fixing it they implicitely recognize there was something very wrong with this car...

Default I would not return the loaner until...

I get the money back or another car....

My thinking is simple....are you supposed to walk or what???

I think you are way to soft with those guys. You must show you mean business otherwise they will be all over you... remember, talk to the lawyer before you do anything with them or say anything to them. And please, do not feel bad for them or feel obligated for anything. They have no feelings for you and are ready to screw you up another time.

Default Steve....we are not talking about fixing the car here...

This car was supposed to be a CPO. Only very minor adjustments should be acceptable.

Default Lawyer and assertiveness

Dangerman, my heart to you bro- but everyone is right - stick to your guns - they don't give a hoot about you - only the bottom line of how much the dealership is going to loose. Take 5 mins and imagine what they're saying in the board room about this shmuck and his damn problematic car... that'll turn your stomach and give you plenty of fire to fight!
Stick to your lawyer - remain assertive and at this point treat this like a broken lawn mower, not your baby... God knows there are other AR's out there!
Keep the courage there - we're behind you!
