I'm in the process of detailing the ar and I have a few questions:

1. Has anyone resolved what to do with the matte finish on the ar roof? It just seems counter intuitive to me not to apply any protection to a painted surface of an auto as Audi suggests. I have been experimenting with 303 for the bumpers and wheel flares and like the results. I am a little concerned that 303 may not be as durable as a wax and become a maintenance headache when applied to the roof. What exactly will a hard wax do to the matte finish (I assume) darken and add a sheen, which is a route I don't think I like very much. Options, I need options.

2. What are people using if anything to protect the aluminum quasi skid plates/rocker panels?

3. Since the allroad is off the road for the detail work I going to tackle the rear fog mod. Does anyone know how to prevent the rear fog(s) from going on/off when the front lamps are dipped?
