Did anyone, who installed the audi spoiler, receive theirs with a hardened, unusable tube of epoxy?

If so, would you have any suggestions as to what to use in it's place?

I first tried something I picked up from Pep Boys, designed to attach plastic to metal, but it would not adhere to the allroad. Instead, it stuck to the spoiler in an uneven layer, costing $150 in sanding/repainting.

Now the dealer is trying to figure out the spoiler installation, and doesn't know where to get an appropriate epoxy. At least if they screw it up (like I did), it'll be their dollar... I hope?

Default Maybe you need to try a different forum:

Default Got the spoiler through my dealership... now they're trying to find a workable tube of epoxy.

Thanks for the on-topic response. =) It is a tough day to ask a question.

Default Perhaps the one good time to have ordered via the dealer...

...when something goes wrong.

Is this "the spoiler" that goes above the rear window, on the hatch?

My wife's Forester has a smoked lexan part (a Subaru part) that's not really a spoiler; rather it's a sort of full-width air duct. I've been looking for something similar ever since I got my allroad -- it keeps the rear window remarkably clean, in all weather. But I understand the Audi spoilers are solid, more like little wings, right? HPH

Default This is indeed, the over-the-rear-window spoiler, which is solid...

The dealership gave me a good price on accessories purchased at the time of sale... about the same price as Clair. I like the incase-something-goes-wrong security too.
