Did a few G-tech runs this morning...
With a clutch killing launch I got a 0-60 of 5.98 and with a normal aggressive launch I got a 6.3 and a quarter mile of 14.84 @ 94
This is on a stock 6 speed. Wonder how it would do chipped?? |
about 1/2 a second+ off the 1/4 mile is my guess

Did you have to shift to 4th for the 1/4 mile?
|
I took the Gtech with me to the track last year with my TT and it was
consistently optimistic by .25 seconds and about 5mph (because of the way it does trap speed compared to the track)
So if I killed the clutch again I could probably get a 14.6...maybe tonight! |
I forgot...will check later...not sure what top speed is in 3rd
|
LOL...remember Audi only replaces your clutch free once.
|
Did 2 more 0 - 60 on the way home with ESP off:
6.11
5.70 Didn't have room for a quarter mile run...but I'm pretty confident I could get a 14.5/14.6 out of her...which would equate to a real world 14.8 or so. Now with chip & exhaust...maybe 13.9's???? |
Curious, any wheel spin on your clutch-killing launch?
|
This confirms my theory:
According to mags:
S4s at 3600lbs 0-60 in ~5.6 1/4 in 14 seconds A6s at ~ 3900lbs 0-60 in ~6 secs and 1/4 in 14.7 (euro spec ar: less torque than the US version) at 4100 lbs 0-60 in 7.3 seconds and the 1/4 in the low 15s My guess was that the ar did the 0-60 in 6.3-6.5 and the 1/4 just under 15 seconds. You numbers bring the U.S. spec ar closer to what I suspected. BTW, I read the inaccuracies of the G-tech is also affected by the pitching of the suspension too....it would be great if you actually calibrated the G-tech at a drag strip. |
I agree, the ar has felt faster to me AoA numbers claim...
and especially how its performed against some other cars recently I knew it was a 14 second car.
My friend has a Stage III S4...so we're going to do a few rool on races to confirm the G-tech numbers. The local track is closed or else I'd have real timeslips. There is another performance meter called the Ap22 or something like that...which I might get soon as is has data logging features along with more data points.

http://www.cb-racing.com/rt-comparison.htm</a

|
