Does anyone have a 6 speed allroad?
The TT has a much better shifter than the S4. How is the Allroad manual shifter? Is it like the loose S4 shifter or the precise shifter in the TT? Thanks

Stock allroad shifter is better than a stock S4 but not as good as the S4 w/ the UUC short shifter.
I had an S4 w/ the original UUC shifter (20%) for 18 months before I got the ar. I am waiting for UUC to make a SS for the allroad. I haven't driven a manual TT so I can't compare them.
Only if AUdi could make shifters like the one in an Acura NSX..........

UUC SS for the allroad
I spoke to UUC several times in the laast six months and was told that "it is under development, call back in three weeks". They also said when it was ready their web site would be updated. So far, no update. Maybe if a lot of us inquire it will be ready earlier.

YES
I have a TT and a 2002 6spd AllRoad. The TT shifter has a shorter throw and is more precise. The Allroad 6spd shifter has more play, not that it is objectionable. One would expect a tighter shifter from a sports car like the TT vs. the Allroad. I like them both.

Re: Does anyone have a 6 speed allroad?
I hacked an S4 UUC shifter to make it fit my allroad. The shifter gets rid of any slop in the linkage and also shortens the throw dramatically. It has a very mechanical feel and sound to it. That's the good news. The bad news is the allroad's 6-speed is a bit truckish in nature. Especially when cold, the shifting is really nothchy. When the oil warms up, it's better. But it's never like butter.
