Does Audi recommend the same 10K mi. oil change interval for the 2.7t allroad...
for my A4 3.0, the interval is 10K which I find amazingly suspect. I'm sure it has something to do with the fact the maintenance is on Audi's nickel. I wonder if there has been an influx of cars with engine trouble after the warranty has passed and after the free maintenance is over due to the high mileage between oil changes during a particular car's early years.

Indeed they do - I asked the same question yesterday when I brought my allroad in for service. The guy at the counter said that they changed the interval from 7.5k for 01 models to 10k for 02 and later models. He also said that if I leased the car 10k was OK but If I owned it he would change it every 5k
Go figure - I would do 5k with synthetic oil.
