May 16!.......in April 1997, there was a "gas out" conductednationwide in
protest of gas prices.Gasoline prices dropped 30 cents agallon overnight. On
May 15th 2007, all internet users are to not go toa gas station in protest
of high gas prices. Gas is now over $3.00 agallon in most places. There are
73,000,000+ American members currentlyon the internet network, and the
average car takes about 30 to 50dollars to fill up. If all users did not go
to the pump on the 15th, itwould take $2,292,000,000.00 (that's almost $3
BILLION) out of the oilcompanys pockets for just one day, so please do not
go to the gasstation on May 15th and lets try to put a dent in the Middle
Eastern oilindustry for at least one day. If you agree (which I cant see why
youwouldn't) resend this to all your contact list. With it saying,
''Don'tpump gas on May 15th"It can't hurt us to try this, but it might help.

Please don't post chain letters.
Not buying gas on May 15th won't do squat.
What WILL do squat is the US changing, over the long term, how much energy it uses.<ul><li><a href="http://www.snopes.com/politics/gasoline/nogas.asp">snopes</a></li></ul>

In the video game Counter-Strike, it is the nickname given to the Accuracy International AWM, which replaced the Accuracy International AWP in the game.

Better to have averyone NOT DRIVE for one day as a protest.
Pick a day of the week. Work from home, pucker and take a mass transit system (that WILL NOT be able to handle the one day influx of commuters.) call in sick, etc.
If 10% of the driving US left the car at home for one day. This would be felt.
Pointless in the end. But a more effective way to limiting usage.
