DP question...and a brief K04 mod update.
Any one know where I can get a set of down pipes for an '01 Tip???? I have been searching for DP's to go with my "current project". The problem is there are a number of them for 6 spd's but none for a Tip -- either "in development" or nothing available. So if anyone can respond quickly with any info, I would greatly appreciate it. I am looking to get them, preferably by the beginning of next week. If not, then I will probably have the resonators removed in the interim.
Now for the mod update. Warrant company finally approved my claim today and is paying for the one bad turbo (never cease to amaze me) and install. The dealer will swap out the turbos with the K04's and I will get the K03's back. The new doritos are already installed. I should have my baby back by the end of next week (provided no more delays).

Tip Upgrade Suggestion/Info
JBo, I know you mentioned they are toning down your K04 upgrade for your tip, but you still may want to consider having it upgraded.
I beleve level10 ( http://levelten.com ) does this for the A4 guys (I heard A4 parts run about $1200). The Audi work is custom and I don't think it's listed on their webpage so you may need to give them a call.
Just a thought to help you avoid any addition heartache.
Regards,
Gavin

For anyone else that's interested.....
There are downpipes available from APR for the Audi A6 2.7T that APR
claims will fit an allroad. We happen to be awaiting delivery on a set
for our in-house 2003 tiptronic 2.7T Allroad. What we do know is that
some modifications need to be made especially with the location of the
bungs for the 02 sensors. They need to be relocated entirely. As of
now there are no available downpipes other than this option for the
Allroad that we know of.
Thank you,

Re: Fantastic.. Let me ping someone for you on the DP's..
Thanks, they have been in touch but will not have anything till mid May time frame.
Maybe you would know this. How difficult is it to install a set of down pipes? My thinking, maybe not too labor intensive. Just remove the belly pan, exhaust sensors, etc and unbolt from the turbos.
The obvious reason for me rushing the dp's is since my ar is apart, it would be easy to do this, other wise it could be labor intensive. If it is not, then I can hold off a little till there is something that will "bolt right in" for the most part and I can better handle getting the required parts.
