Driver Information System Menu

I recently purcahsed a 2001 allroad. The manual (p 131) says that one can access the Driver Information system menu by pushing the "menu" button on the console. I have the NAV system and ther is no "menu" button there. Does anyone know how to access the DIS menu?

Thanks

I remember thinking the same when I first read the manual on my '01 (also with Nav)......

all those years ago. I think my conclusion was that the driver information system is accessed via the switch on the end of the wiper stalk. There is certainly no "menu" button on my console.

There's also a way to make the car...

...run through its start-up diagnostics, via some combination of the two instrument cluster buttons, but I've forgotten the trick. Maybe push both at once? HPH

Actually it's the switch under the stalk not the end one ! Click it to cycle through Nav/Info/Off

The button on the stalk just cycles through the info. According to the manual(pp 132 - 136), the menu allows you access settings, turn display items off and on , set the clock and date, etc etc.

Clock and date...

are definitely the instrument cluster buttons (the trip odometer reset and the other one). And I think some combination cycles through the POST. HPH

right button on bottom turns on/off information, button at end cycles thru

I asked the same ? a while back...

The consensus answer was the console Menu button is on cars with the auxiliary heater and tire pressure monitoring system.

In its absence, use the 2 buttons on the gauge cluster and the wiper stalk buttons. Pretty much cover the same functions.
