97 A8. As I was walking towards it I said to my self "they have a lot of confidence in using a 9 year old car as a loaner". 35 miles later.......the tranny went on the L.I.E. Ugh. Anyone else ever had a loaner breakdown on them?

Default Wow...

that's even got me beat...I guess there is something worse than your car leaving beside the road....someone else's...what a bummer...I supposed their theory is they were doing you a favor to give you a loaner for "free". Hope things go better for you.

Storms...they seemed to have a few late 90's cars as their loaners.

Hopefully they won't try to place the blame it on you.

Default I'm not thrilled by any means....

I am sure that no one is blaming me for a tranny going in a 97' A8 that is prone to such a failure. I've read about it over on the A8 forum quite a few times. The transmission gear select light up and then the check engine light came on and finally I couldn't make it up the small hill on the expressway near exit 46. Hopefully my ar is ready tomorrow like they originally said.

Default WOW, that would be SWEET! I asked for an A8 (jokingly), but I always get Jeeps Cherokees or Durangos

which both suck. I was really unimpressed with the '06 jeep.. The brakes on that thing are scarily bad...

You guys must live in more upscale areas. I live in a small Fishing/College town and the A8's are like gold.

Default Criswell in Annapolis MD gave me new Q7 two weeks ago!

Sweet ride but I'll stick to my 04 AR for a few more years
