Default Exact match allroad bumper/fender paint FYI

In me previous post below looking to replace a fender flare (dealer cost is $200, friends to audiworld is ~$130). I stopped by the local automotive paint supply shop in Boulder, and asked the guy to mix up some LV7W for me and he said he has something better. He took a color sheet out to my allroad and matched the bumper/fender color to an off the shelf bumper paint. I took it home and sprayed a few light coats and it matched perfectly both color and matte.
Forget about paintscratch.com etc

The stuff is called SEM trim and bumper paint and the paint code is 39193, dark gray, matches up with the LV7W perfectly, an aerosol can is about $10.

Degrease with a little dawn and a green scotchbrite, sand with #400 and spray a bunch of light coats just like the instructions on the can. I will try and post a few before and after pics. The stuff sprays on smooth and dries fast. Great for what I need to do. The only thing I'm not sure about is how tough it is but I'm not too impressed with the factory paint.

Default SEM has been making flexible parts paint and supplies for years...

I think I have posted their name here before.

Hmm, nice light fixture - but why do you have a 17-foot-long fender spanning your foyer?

Default before and after ...

The bumper paint looks a bit lighter with the flash but pretty darn close. I will have to take a look in the day light. I should have done a better sanding job. I know the prep work is the hardest part.

Default Seems I've seen more scraped bumpers on allroads...

When I was recently looking for allroads, it seemed a large majority of them had scraped bumpers and flares. It would bother me to look at the damadge and do nothing. Nice job, and I commend you for encouraging others to help represent the car for all it can be!

Default Did you shoot the whole bumper?

If not, how did you blend in the over spary to the existing color?
