Excessive wind noise...

Excessive wind noise...
Noticing that wind noise with the driver side window down (...posting this a few months late - only in Summer, and when the weather is nice...!) is excessive.
I feel like I'm sitting in a wind tunnel.
Same thing with the sunroof; either when it's open alone or in combo with the window; makes no difference.
Slightly opening rear or passenger windows is not an option - becoming forgetfull these days; would leave them open when parked.
So, to that end, has anyone fitted wind deflectors on their Allroad?
Sunroof one can be bought at a dealer (clip fixing type, not the adhesive).
I found this one for the windows (also mounted with clips)...

Has anyone fitted either?
I don't like appendages either, but can't drive with the sunroof open nor with the window down.

I've noticed an excessive amount of buffeting as well ...
If the driver's window is down I have to lower one of the rear windows a crack as well once I'm up to speed. If a rear window only is down the buffeting/ pressure pulsing lot of pressure on my ears. I think that Audi could have done a little better job in the wind tunnel testing in this regard.

That's what I do too
I was surprised that it's even worse than my A4 in this regard.

there is a mark on the dial for the sunroof
at roughly 3/4 open. if you put it there, then the buffeting with the sunroof is greatly reduced. as for the window, tilt the back of the sunroof open and life will be better with the drivers window open.

"Excessive" is putting mildly! I've never experienced a car with worse buffeting.
Right around 30-35mph (sunroof open, windows closed) it gets so bad that it almost hurts my ears. Not a deal-breaker, but mildly annoying in a car of this refinement. You'd think this would've shown up in testing?

I've got a sunroof wind deflector. No buffetting and quiet at highway speeds...
Mine was installed by the previous owner. Do a search in the allroad forum. This subject was discussed about a year or 2 ago. I think mine looks fine. I think the deflectors on the side windows look like crap. Fine on a pickup truck, but not on an allroad.

Re: I've noticed an excessive amount of buffeting as well ...
It's bad. I lower a window....but I haven't got my one touch groove yet...it's tough getting just a crack. On older 911's and I believe older Chrysler minivans had back windows hinged in the front and when popped open really works....Everytime I get buffeted I wish the AR had this feature.
