Default Exhaust... any suggestions?

I have upgraded my DVs and intake already and want to do exhaust this summer. Probably chip next summer since I will be over 50K miles.

I am not looking for crazy sound, I like the sleeper factor. I am looking for better response and improved performance..... without getting rid of the tip for the 6 speed.

What has everyone else used? Anything I should avoid?

thanks,

Default How about Sleeper factor + sound at higher RPM's?

If you want that then I can recommend the SuperSprint exhaust, not loud or annoying at lower speeds but if you hit the throttle then she'll come alife with a beautiful deep humming sound ;-)

Default I like my RS6 installation. Quiet inside the car, all hangars line up perfectly, and flows r

really well at higher rpms. Downsides? need to have it fabricated, weld on the tips of your choice, and finding a used RS6 exhaust. But 1/3 to 1/2 the price of the other systems out there.

I like the price.... do you end up paying for in effort since it isn't an out of the box solution?

Sound Enhanced, but twin turbos really quiet it down.

Default Answer...

The Borla 4" double wall stainless tips were $65 each iirc. I paid the shop $140 to install, weld the tips on, and fab the sleeves to mate the factory downpipes to the larger diameter RS6 piping. So I'm into the whole thing for a bit over $600 all in. Sold the RS6 tips for $100 to another A6 person so net is just over $500.
