Default Follow up question.... Alignment....

I will do an alignment after the tires are on.. but...should I wait untill after the H-sports are installed as well?

Default I think some people here will say that

since you have both now, it's better if you wait to have them both installed and then do the alignment. Remember that you should have the tires Road Force Balanced as well. Congrats, and keep us posted.

Default I think so..

APR 2 program with lock out
Zimmerman drilled and slotted front rotors
PBR ceramic pads with sensors
18x8.5 RS6 reps with 15mm H&R Spacers
Falken Azenis ST115's 245-45-18
H-Sport sways front and rear (I will install those next wednesday)
Samco hoses and other silicon hose lines (I will put those in next tuesday)

But I am also replacing my DV's with 710N's for now, will upgrade to better after a while, I have also started paintin my engine covers...nothing extreme, but just a difference, when they are done, and all the intake hoses are in place, i will post pics.

I also just put in some 2003 tails that I got from Chris here on the board.

so they are pretty much the same ;-)
cheers

Default You are way ahead and beyond... what I will do and have done.

APR 2 programs: Stock and 93 Octane
Falken Zenix 512's
H-Sport BLUE bars...
402 Mod

TO COME:

Diverter valves possibly Baily Blacks
N75 valve... I notice some spitting of power when I get on the chip..

RS6/RS4 Wheels. I just want them, but can't afford them untill more business comes in..

Default Sounds good.

I have also done the 402, forgot about that. I have not had issues with the N75, but I will have them do that under warranty if I need it....I have an assured allroad.

The biggest difference that makes me jealous is you ahve a 6 speed, I have a tip. But the chip made a huge difference. It is still learning, but I feel it is more powerful everytime I drive it. It should settle in within a few more days of driving.

cheers

Default Here is a sample of the engine covers

they are not finished, not even close, need to clear coat them, so be kind. All the black vent sections are lined in the same blue as the Samco hoses...but they look real light in this photo, but they are actually quite Royal Blue like the Samcos

Default Properly installed, the H-Sports will not affect the alignment. But...

if it isn't too long between mounting the tires and mounting the bars, I'd probably wait anyway.

I checked my alignment pre and post H-Sport and there was absolutely no difference.

However, you need to make sure when you mount the bars that you "preload" the suspension before you tighten the bolts for the end links. Otherwise the sway bars could affect ride height and that would affect alignment. To preload, just drop the car onto the ground (or up onto ramps) then tighten. Many shops, dealers included, will just tighten everything with the car up on a lift and the wheels dangling free. That's the wrong way.

Enjoy the H-Sports! Single best investment I made in my allroad , aside from the Britax car seat for my daughter.
