Default No oil temp problems at all -- dipped up about 1/4 past normal, but nowhere near "hot"

Was a nail-biter for me to run the car as hard as I did... I'm definitely not used to bumping off the rev limiter non-stop. Car performed like a champ though... only casualty was the (stock) brakes... completely toasted the rear pads and ran all the way home metal/metal. Just put on new rotors/pads in the rear, and she's good as new.

Looks great. Photo I'd like to see: air under all four wheels as you top a hill.

Default Yow, how did you do that?

I run 250+ oil temps on a cool day at the track, but I'm a tip.

Agree about the stock pads. I've toasted Hawk HP+ in the stock calipers, and now Cobalt VR's in the Stoptechs. Next pad is going to be the Performance Friction PF-01 and hope I don't chew up my rotors with the aggressive pad compound.

Default I would guess that is the explanation: Tip allroad, we are so screwed with an AT because the car

will also have to observe the heat from the Trans.
Usually you'll get about 6-8 laps before the temp reaches 250.....that's the time to leave the track....Yep, it sucks being a Tip-ar ;-)

Default I'm going to try Syntec 5W50 for November, and hope for cool weather....

I'd hoped the tip chip would reduce the heat somewhat because of less band slippage, but didn't help.

Default Good call, 6 bucks at Autozone minus a discount ;-) The only way to keep the transmission cooler is

try out the solution that just went in my car; the aux. trans cooler/heat exchanger, it really does help to keep the transmission down on Temperature and it' an easy fix.
