Fogged roof rails, advice?

Fogged roof rails, advice?
My roof rails are sort of fogged, anyone have any advice on how to clean them or should i just replace them? It's not they are dirty or anything, they are actually discoloured.
Also, has anyone ever removed the trim at the bottom of the doors (outside)? I'd like to take them off so i can clean them and was wondering how easy it is...
