Front Axle Replacement -CV's going south

Some time back a member from the Denver, CO area gave me detailed instructions for replacing the front axles on my Allroad. Since that time my laptop crashed and I lost the data, I am hoping this Post makes it back to him or if any other member could assist I would be grateful. I am planning to order axles from Raxles unless anyone else has a better source and since I am digging into the front end I thought I would replace the airbags (Arnott) - Fun Stuff, so much for skiing next weekend.

Thanks and I did find that, great information. Another Denver member shot me some axle replacement info. Nice photos I found on your AR as well.

I just replaced the drivers axle on mine...passenger is in the garage waiting for a couple free hours. I just went with the Schucks / Orielly's axles. Brand new parts, lifetime warrantee, no shipping and less than half the price of raxles.

Was able to do the drivers side without removing the lower control arms, but did have to take out the pinch bolt.

Knocked out both axle replacements (Raxles)and both air bags (Arnott) yesterday, started at 9 AM and finished at 7 PM. I was worked over but AR drives like new.
