Default Full steel allroad specific engine and transmission skid plates. Anyone interested?

Since there are no heavy duty skid plates available for the allroad here in the states, Scotty at Advanced Automotion is thinking of going with a purchase of a bunch of these all steel allroad specific kits from Hungary if the interest is there. Minimum commitment needed is 15 sets. I think between Scotty and I, we have 4 or 5 already covered. Each plate weights approximately 22lbs according to the manufacturer, but I would imagine that is the engine plate and that the trans plate would be less. Scotty is thinking the pricing for the engine and trans combo plates is looking to be $349. Thoughts?

Engine Plate Details:
- A38 H2H 2mm steel plate
- RAL 9005 powder painty surface
- Join in the original fixing points
- Mounting guide included
- All necessary mounting accessories included
- Sevice slot to oil change

Manual Trans Plate Details:
- A38 H2H 2mm steel plate
- RAL 9005 powder painty surface
- Join in the original fixing points
- Mounting guide included
- All necessary mounting accessories included

Automatic Trans Plate Details:
- A38 H2H 2mm steel plate
- RAL 9005 powder painty surface
- Join in the original fixing points
- Mounting guide included
- All necessary mounting accessories included

If you mouse over the numbers 1-5 on the features tab on their home page you will see what all each plate has standard:

Interested to see where this goes. I'd have to think about it, but I definitely like the idea.

I'm in. I was the one that originally found the company and posted on Audizine. I'm glad to hear he might start a group buy for this. I would want both as well.

Great find you made! Hoping the deal pans out as I think it will esp if we have the interest. Scotty should be posting on audizine in a couple days about it too.

I am trying to find out a couple things from the seller still that they havent answered:

Weight of each piece: They said 10kb (~22lbs) each but that cant mean that the trans pan and the engine pan weigh the same.

Fitment: Will the same engine pans work on the 2.7T AND the 4.2 V8 motors?

Material: Are they stainless steel or just coated steel. A lot of people are curious about rusting esp vs. aluminum...

That said, can they make the same pans out of alum?

If you can help in getting any of those answers then you will be the man
