Good report on AULU (CA) warranty
Two mechanics on 2 occasions have said they are easy to work with. Covered cam seals and while in there I paid for TB. Close to covering cost after 10k miles. I guess that is good news/bad news.

Do you mean AUL out of Napa, CA? If so, I have reported on them frequently as a great co
to work with...with their Reserve policy I have even had the airsprings covered (twice), cam seals, tie rod ends they would even cover the torque converter if it failed...would cover all brake and suspension parts except rotors and pads. They pay my indy directly so it is no hassle for me, except to get reimbursed the one time for towing (up to $50 iirc). Glad someone else is having good experience with them. I will be extending my warranty up to 116k in a few weeks.

When I had my cam seals replaced my Indy said it would be no cheaper to do the TB at the same time
because it was on other side of the engine? Sounded dumb to me too.. I'm sure it would save some time... What did you pay to have the TB done? How many miles are you at?

Here's how:
I did some research on extended warranties, and talked quite a bit with mustbeaudi about how they work and what the options are. He was able to provide much info, and has a number of good products. CA residents have a restriction that they can not buy online from out of state, as I understand it. I found AUL through my mechanic, who has worked with them.
I considered using a friend's address in NV, but ultimately I was uncomfortable with that.
I would have gone with mustbeaudi's group if not for this, and in fact I have recommended him to other Audi owners. And still do.

My guy said it saved some time to have them done together. Cam seals were over $1000. TB was around $800 including water pump and all the other should be replaced items. 69.5k on the car.

{blushing} wasn't looking for a compliment, but more about who sold you the AUL
policy and how to contact for future seekers, also cost and term info may help for the record. Other CA Audi owners may like to know.
