Default Great tire choice happy dude

Just picked up the Alpaka, from the indy new Falkens put on, I know only one day 50 miles, but what a damn difference no road noise at all sort of like a 72 Caddy but one that can stop and turn. Running 35psi put it through my usual ride home test same type of route almost as Cliffs of Insanity RT218 West Point NY, let me say way better then the P6 allroad's and for $78 a tire.

Default Good to read. I am getting close to needing new tires. Currently...

Cooper Lifeliner... yuk. front-end slides in the rain if I push too hard around curve. I am seriously considering those Falkens. Alot of people have tried them. Did you consider the Goodyear F-1 others have used?

PSA: Check out current Consumer Reports on HP tires, including Falken.

No I did not, had the P6'S still life left but horrible tire IMO, saw Paulroad's post about the Falkens did some research tried to go bigger but to no avail. Drove today in the rain again a smooth good road holding tire V rated and for $70 some odd dollars a steal. Cleaned them off shined them up and they also look better then the P6's.

Any amt < $100 for 512s is great; just be sure to inflate above 40 psi if you want 'em to last.

I'm running 39 PSI all around on my falkens. Love em. They tramline a little on scored concrete because of that huge center tread, but they're really grippy and quiet.
