Has anybody tried delimiting the speed using VAGCOM
...on their '04 2.7T yet?
I found the block where you set the top end speed. It looks like it has a range of 64MPH through 186MPH (must be specified in HEXADECIMAL). I'm not sure why anyone would limit it to 64MPH though. Maybe if you owned a fleet of delivery ar's and didn't want your drivers speeding?
I also cannot imagine anybody driving the 186MPH with stock tires and suspension; that would be pretty foolish.
Anyway, has anybody tried this without having to touch the ECU? This would be my first mod, other than the 402. I'll try a cross post to the A6 board; somebody there is probably crazy enough to have tried it.
