Default Has anyone experienced axel problems?

Not my car, but a co worker has a 4.2, right front axel was just replaced. Car was fine for about 60 miles then heavy vibration started again, car had to be towed (yes, undriveable) to a second dealer (due to location at breakdown). The second dealer is saying it's the right front axel again. The first dealer that did the initial repair has a good reputation, the service managers are talking to each other. I'm just curious if anyone has come across similiar issues.

The original symptoms were severe shaking felt on right front side of car. It's not the tires, running Avon's on stock rims, recently balanced. As stated eariler, right front axel was replaced, 60 miles later, severe shaking on front end again, this time on left side. Car is CPO, but this AR has been a disaster for him. Any feedback on cause of problem, or other areas to diagonse would be helpful. Service deptartments are working with him, but patience is running thin.

FYI, car is 100% stock except for tires. No 402 mod, no h-sports, nothing....

Default Not sure if this is any help but under factory warranty at 46k

both my front axels were replaced due to vibration and it was listed as SOP on the sheet from the dealer. I am an '01 2.7T though if that matters.
