Having problems with EZPass/SmartTag in the allroad
Just got the allroad last weekend and put the pass on the windshield where I alway put it but it doesn't register when driving through the tolls. Anyone else have this problem? STFA and no luck.

I have mine mounted about an inch from the top of the windshield and it works fine for me. :oT
You can actually see it in my sig.

Not at all. My NY/NJ Ezpass is right next to the rv mirror.
Perhaps the transponder's battery is dead? It does happen..

I know some of the GM cars had a coating on the windshield...
that blocked signals. People were left placing them under the cowl or hood or bumber.
|
TollTag works fine for me as well. Lower left side of the windshield...
You can get a license plate frame version of the toll tag where I live... Is this an option for you?

Works fine near top of windshield on '03. So does V1 radar detector mounted
just below tint band. A few years back Audi changed specs on US A8 windshields because of complaints that it blocked EZPass. But think that is no longer an issue on VW/Audi vehicles.

Mine too... No issues.

my NJ one is on my license plate :) (yes I live in MA)

I've had problems in my 02....
solution I found was to open the sunroof as I went through and hold it up. Don't mind it since I don't really like the thing mounted inthe windshield anyway.

Nether ny MA nor NH tags work in my '01 ar. I use the sunroof...
I called NH EZ pass and they said it should work. I replied that it doesn't and asked for a remote tag.
They said don't bother - just drive through and we'll recognize you plate in the system. Yikes. Hence the sunroof. |
