Several of us have switched from Mobil-1 to German-made Castrol that can
only be found at AutoZone stores. It comes in 0W-30, but tests show that it is actually closer to a 40w. You may want to consider that oil. Many believe it protects and lasts longer than Mobil-1. Learn more about European oils at link below.

http://www.bobistheoilguy.com</a

If I couldn't find GC I'd run M1 0w40. The 0w40 is fairly easy to find at stores.
I haven't tried the internet as I figured shipping would more than eat up any savings over local stores.
Of course, your local Mobil/Exxon distributor can get you a good price on bulk sales.

German castroil from Dealer. I run this now, even though I am a Mobil 1 fan for other vehicles...
...I was running the M1 Truck and SUV, because I was thinking that this formulation would be better for the hot oil bearings on the turbos. Any good synthetic is fine for pistons - my concern was coking and sludging in turbo oil lines.
Then Katrina hit, and M1 changed their spec based on supply chain issues. I got cold feet, the recommendation was made here for the German zaft. In further discussion with Audi parts counter guys, I learned that this is the oil spec'ed for the C5 RS6, which is a twin turbo V8. I don't know how reliable this is, but it's a datapoint to consider.

I'm using Mobil Delvac 5W-40
It's for turbodiesel motors, but works great in ours. Diesel oils still have decent amounts of ZDDP for lower wear on direct contact interfaces, such as cams and tappets. The gov't has required much lower amounts in car oils, because Z and P very slowly poison catalytic converters.
I might not use it in a cold winter environment, but summer's here soon.
