Default HELP !!! URGENT !! PLEASE !!!!

The transmission swap is done, well, almost.

The darn AT ECU doesn't take any programs that KMD tried out (checksum difference?).
Where can I find a used MT ECU for the ABP (must match) Engine code? 4Z7 907 551 or 551M or 551X.

Any kind of help or pointers into the right direction would be very much appreciated !!!

Default a thought......

Perhaps if you flash your Dahlback coded actual chip back to true OEM stock this will allow the other programs to work. (a hard reboot)

Then you should be able to reflash with the perofmance program.

Default Danny tried multiple things, the problem seems to be the different checksum between an MT and AT, if

this doesn't match then the car wont recognize the code no matter what code is in the ECU.

So after handing over 2 AT ECU's to play around with, we are out of fuel here....it must be a MT ECU for this particular engine code.

Default The ECU for the MT and AT are quite different in terms of

operation... I cant believe you didn't ask about this first!!! :-) IIRC the boxes are physically different (internally) which likely would cause problems.

Just get the MT ECU and you should be good.

Default Believe me, I've asked more questions then you could shake a stick...

and just getting a MT is what I'm trying to do here, but a used one would be nice considering the price of a new ECU.

A broken one would do the trick too because it could be repaired by ECU direct.

Why do you think I provided my second ECU to figure all this out, it's a pain in the Glutus Maximus but I can wait another month ;-)
