How difficult to retrofit parktronic? Not for me, but for a customer...

Wouldn't seem to hard . . . heck even PCMag.com has a how-to
for backup cam and sensors.

I would think the $$$'s would kill it, unless you can find a donor vehicle
If going with a OEM implementation, the different bumper alone is probably going to be $800+ plus sensors; unless you find one used. I remember seeing the control module on my '01 when I had to wire out the trailer harness, and I had to modify the wiring with the harness for the backup sensors. I would think the wiring is there and that you just need the bumper, sensors, sensor harness, control module, and maybe that is it. I can't remember whether the module actually included the speaker, or if that was separate also. Probably can look at Bentley and parts schematic for all the parts. I would imagine costly if buying all the parts new.

You could do it, affordable if you go with an aftermarket kit...
but if you go OEM, it gets pricey. Sensors tehmselves go for about $60-70 each, you need 4, plus the control box, wire harnesses, and the speaker. Probably over $500 in parts alone. You can get an aftermarket kit for less than half that, and it does the same thing.
