Default How much did your Dealer charge for tire mounting & balancing

TIRES again.

I'm going to replace my tires very soon and will buy Falken Ziex 512 on the Internet for my AR. I will have my dealer install it after all the horror stories of wheels getting scratched with SEARS and COSTCO. But how much did you pay for dealer to mount, balance, (align?).
Thanks.

Most will charge ~75 an hour, Not sure how long it will take. Figure at least an hour.

Default Find and Indy... you will save big bucks...

Not a tire shop... but a performance shop that mods our kind of cars, you will find they have great wheel and tire equip (and staff) and don't charge an arm and a leg for your wheels

Default Road Force Balance = a MUST = $175

I just got the same tires (about 2K miles ago) and went thru a myriad of problems getting them "balanced" at Tire Kingdom, etc. (chains).

Here's how to do it: go to the chain first, and then when they don't balance to your satisfaction (which they won't), go to the Audi dealer & pay the $175 for the road force balance. It will show you which tire is bad, and Discount Tires will pay for the $175 road force balance as well as ship you a new (or 2, or 3) tires & pay for that Road Force Balance as well.

They were *extremely* nice and helpful with what I was expecting to be a fight.

Default 2nd on Road Force Balance and Discount

I put the Ziex's on and I'm very happy with them. If Discount Tire has retail operations near you with the Hunter 9700, that will be your best bet. If not, any decent retail tire outfit can probably order them. You can also get them online from Discount Tire Direct and have a local tire store or your dealer mount them. Road force balance is a must. I got my Ziex's from DTD and 2 of them failed the RFB test, Discount immediately replaced them with 2 good ones.

Had the same experience with Falken Azentis 115's but I had them RFB at A local installer and found that 2 tires did not meet specs, had a bad time with original installer , but fianlly got 2 new Falkens, I still think there is some vibration, I have contacted Falken about changing to Ziex or other Falken tires but Falken says go back to original installer, who is very inconpetent.
