Default I was checking out the S4 board...Man those guys post!

I posted a question yesterday and the answer is on Page 3 today! Unreal. I guess they're fast. Just like their cars. I was thinking of getting an Audi Assured S4 as a third car (I think my wife wants the new allroad) and was kicking that idea around. whatyall think? It would be my daily drive. The S4 guys say to avoid anything older than 2001.5. One guy said he didn't like the dimples on the steering wheel of the 2002(!) That would ruin it for me for sure. Its a pretty funny forum.

Default I spend a fair amount of time on the S4 board and let me tell you...

3 pages in one day is a slow day. ;-)
An Audi assured S4 will be a great daily driver. Also a blast to drive!! You probably know all there is to know about the ar so I won't bore you with the details. We love the S4/AR combo. Just to warn you: If you do pull the trigger on the S4, watch out for the mod bug. It bites pretty hard.

Default Lots of us have the S4/AR combo....

Wife drives the AR and I have the S4, which is a 2000 (build date 11/99) and I've had no problems. My only mod is an apr 93 octane chip and a short shifter, UUC. Take the plunge, you'll love it.

Default Agree...

I have a '01 S4 that (so far) has been trouble free. The AR became a neccessity because of child seats.

Default Man am I behind the curve (in more ways than one)

on the S4 -- do you think its crazy to get a used S4 (even if it is Audi Assured) -- those turbos, the boost-- the durability issue scares me a little. The car speaks to me though...loudly

Default I wish I was one of you...

Trading in the S4 tonight for an AR. The kids legs are just getting too long, and I am much to underwater on my other car to move into the S4/AR compliment.

Bottom line, I am worried that my addiction to the S4 will not be satified by my new car. Anybody else had my experience?
