Default I drank the AR Kool-Aid & Mirror Compass issue

After moving to north of NYC and realizing my BMW 5 Series was not going to work in the snow and the V-8 Jeep Grand Cherokee was eating me alive in fuel costs, last week I drank the "aid" and bought (2) 2002 Allroads. My wife's car is a grey/silver few options and mine is Black with the 2 pc rims, cold package etc.One came from an Audi Dealer in NJ (the worst experience) and the better car and experience from a Ford dealer in Northern CT, exceptional experience (contact me off-line if you want to hear the stories) Both cars 37k miles CPO for $25k each

These are cars great......my issue concerns the compass mirror that appears not to have any power. I searched the archives and found many procedures on upgrading to the compass mirror but no troubleshooting...

Any assistance is appreciated....

Default You might want to just check the electrical connection...

just pry off the rearward half of the plastic neck that comes down from the headliner to the mirror. inside, you will see a small wire harness clipped to the front half. Check the connection there. Maybe just a loose connection, and no major repair needed.

Welcome! And congrats on the new cars!!!
