Default INSTALLED NEW RS6 TYPE WHEELS AND WANTED TO SHARE

Hi,

I am new to this forum. I never posted anything, just read all your discussions.

I bought this wheels of of Ebay and the guys said that they are straight but they turn out to be bent. I fixed all four wheels for dents and painted them gray. Then like you all know I needed spacers to get this wheels to fit right. I bought some from Ebay but I get vibration between 65-80 mph. I read this forum and looks like I need to buy H&R spacers that bolt on to the hub first and then to wheel goes on top of them.

Can somebody with those spacers tell me if you get vibration or shimming on the freeway?

I realy appreciate your feedback.

none here, but if the wheels aren't perfectly true you will get vibrations anyway. Sorry.

Default Nice. Where did you get them?

I think I'd opt for a clear bra though, the black one doesn't go so hot with the wheels.

I'd remove the bra, do the clear corner mod and install the door blades from the S6. You could have them paint-matched to the color of the wheels to tie it all together, and perhaps have the emblems on the car painted the same. It would stand out nicely on the rear end especially.

I might inquire about painting the roof rails and the window trim too, although that might be difficult/$$$ to do it 'right'...

What bulbs are you using?

Thank you Sarge.

I got the wheels from Ebay and just painted them gray. I was thinking about clear bra but I have a dent on my hood so thats why I went with this one. I know it doesn't look great. As far as painting parts that you mantioned I want to keep the car stock as much as posible. Thank you for the advise though. I don't know how long I am going to keep this car.

Default You might need to have the wheels road force balanced as that was enough

to cause my previously vibration-free allroad to have a problem...I also may need an alignment...just a thought.

Default I have the the bolt-on 20mm H&R spacers, no bad vibes at all. I love them so far....

It is very important that the spacers are hubcentric (meaning that the wheel centers and rests on the hub, no weight should be on the bolts).... If your spacers are not then you are really asking for some problems...

Did you paint them yourself? If so was it a PITA?

Default Are you on the S-list?

If yes, what's your handle? I have the same set of cars BTW... :-)

Two of my favorite Audi's
allroad & UrS4...is that a '93' w/carbon fibre interior?
