Default Instrument cluster warning lights question.

Sometimes when I am driving I get these warning lights. If I shut off the car it resets and might be weeks or months before I see it again. Any idea why I get these lights randomly?

are you referring to the esp, abs and air suspention lights?

and if you are, first step is to get all the codes pulled and report back.

Hey Paper,

Thanks! I'll pull the codes when I get a chance but I am thinking it might be a brake switch gone bad. Good looking allroad!

No need to pull the codes, you need to replace your brake light switch.

I know it sounds strange, but it's a $6 part and easy to replace yourself.

There are many, many, many threads on this, look under keywords "trifecta, brake light switch etc......

Have done some research and I thought I would post my findings on this topic:

Among other things, it turns your brake lites on when you push down on the pedal......it's also tied into the computer, turns off your cruise control when you hit the brakes also, for example.......
