Just another Allroad Coolant Leak --Help if you can
Here's the short story. I found the bad hose. It's the coolant hose that's connected to the oil filter housing.
Question is...how hard is to replace. That hose disapears into the engine abyss. Anybody know where it goes ...or where it ends?
Has anybody ever replaced this hose?
Thanks everyone.

If by Abyss you mean the valley of the V under the inlet manifold, then yes, many have had to do this to replace the auxiliary water pump.
Search - "2003 Audi Allroad 2.7 Coolant leak (expansion bootle?)" posted recently is a good write up, with photo's (not mine) and part numbers.
If you do have to take the inlet manifold off, its not hard, just take your time, I think I allowed about 4 hours, don't rush it, and you have to continually check you haven't squeezed any of the wires or lines when you get the inlet manifold back in position.

This is PN for the hose that goes from the oil cooler UP^ into the abyss: 078121058AM
To get to the upper clamp, you have to remove the inner timing belt cover. I used a tool like this:
It's a timing belt removal and then some to get at this. Good luck.

I just did this job and like 'Old School' said, I had to remove the driver's side timing belt cover, the fan, the bumper and I had to slide out the radiator support, etc. And The flexible hose clamp tool was needed. It was still a bugger. Today I tackled the driver's side EGT sensor and the outer tie rod ends. The EGT sensor was even more of a bugger. I had no success at it from the bottom or from the wheel well; I had to go in from the top after removing the coolant reservoir, secondary air injection pump, etc. 270,000 miles and now check engine lights.
