Default Just bought a 2001 allroad and found a nice surprise today...

So I pick up a 2001 allroad at a Cleveland area Mercedes/Infiniti dealer yesterday, everything went well. Car is for the wife, traded in an Excursion. So I'm driving our new used allroad home, snowy day, and I was able to get on it for a couple seconds. I was like "hmmm that felt pretty damn good". So I pop the ECU cover today and my hunch was verified. On top of the ECU is the letters "MTM" in red. I cracked the ECU case and see MTM 306HP, some part numbers and a date of 1-23-03. On the back of the ECU case was 2001 allroad the VIN and the I'm assuming the last name of either the guy who installed the chip or the last name of the previous owner, Sorboro. I re-installed ECU, erased the error code and did a throttle adaptation. So that's a nice bonus as I was going to chip anyway. I had a 2001 A6 2.7T MT6 that I ran a spare APR ECU in (now have an '04 S4). Hope to find a spare allroad "K" ECU around for service appointments. My first thought is that the Mercedes/Infiniti dealer filled the tank prior to pick-up and it was likely 87 octane. I figured I would take it easy for about a half a tank then top it off with Sunoco Ultra94. Questions...is my minimum octane for this chip 91 or 93? Not that it matters as I'll be running 94 but I'd like to know. Are there any dyno's on this chip? Wodering if MTM warranty follows the car or just the original purchaser? I'm also wondering if this previous owner happened to do a tip chip as well. How would I tell? No other mods were done to the allroad, no 402, no remote control coding, no tranny recode or even Bose hidden settings. Was hoping I could find original owner and ask some questions. Anyone know the name Sorboro for the forum? He traded the allroad for an Infiniti. New signature coming soon.

Default Very cool, minimum recomended is 91.

You might be able to chekc the TCU to see if the tranny has been chipped. You buy it from Motor Cars?
