Just pulled trigger on 17" A4 oem rim snow whls, but tires are 235/45, Do I need new tires? Other Qs

The stock size for a 17 inch rim is ET25 225/55-17
These numbers indicate a wider tire with a lower profile
They have an offset of 45 so I will need 200mm spacers and 200mm longer bolts
Here's the seller's description of these
"Audi OEM 17" Sport Package Wheels and Pirelli 210 Snowsport Winter Tires. Wheels are 5X112 ET45 17x7.5 and tires are 235/45 17 94H. Came off a 2004 Audi A4 Quattro so will fit all B6/B7 A4 and other Audi or VW with 5x112 bolt pattern."
He says they have 8k winter miles from his moms car (2 seasons)
So here are the questions I need to sort out and act on:
- is the OD (outer diameter) different from what I have now? (P 245/45 ZR 18 96W
Continental Conti ExtremeContact)
- will running these tires affect the car, steering, > chance rim damage? speedometer, nav?
- How will the 10mm wider width over stock tire work out will 20mm offset spacers? (5mm extra rubber on each side of the wheel)?
- Should i get new snows in the stock size or run these for a season?
- What's the best, easiest, safest, less likely to send me the wrong thing, online place to buy spacers and bolts?
- are the new lugs ball seat?
Thanks for your help and to Paulroad for some tips privately

Oooh, more than I can handle - where's 'Ed?
These are wrong for the ar, but right for a car like my S6 as is.
I like this calculator:

and this

I could help relieve you of the tires, perhaps, should you strip them off the wheels. I don't need them for this year, but winter keeps coming back. . .

calculator

the tires are totally the wrong size, and a 20mm spacer would be needed as well
the rolling diameter is way off with that size, I think the diameter of that tire is off by over 1.5" compared to what you need....so best to invest in new tires and spacers. Makes it more expensive, but worth the money. I think those rims will look great on an allroad.

What Jon said, plus....
You will need different tires for 3 reasons-
1) Rolling diameter is way off which will make your speedo read too fast, and will put more miles on the odo than you actually travel
2) With that much smaller rolling diameter, you are supposedly making your ABS and ESP much more sensitive since the car thinks you're going much faster than you really are.
3) The load rating (load index) on the smaller tire is much lower than the correct size. Don't recall exactly, but I would think it's on the order of 200 lbs per tire less, or 800 lbs less in total load capability of the car.
The stock wheel is 17x7.5, et25
This A4 wheel is 17x7.5, et45
So you're absolutely correct in needing a 20mm spacer. Two style of spacers you can get:
The traditional spacer which is sandwiched between the wheel and the hub and requires longer bolts
The newer one which actually bolts to the hub with supplied special short bolts, then the wheel just bolts to your spacer with the stock bolts. This is more expensive to buy as a spacer kit, but you aren't having to buy longer bolts. Plus it's a lot easier to use. allroadjay and allroadbryan are both using this spacer from H&R.
If you go with the traditional spacer, you'll need 45 or 48 mm bolts. Stock is 27mm, so 45 generally works just fine. Make sure you get at least 5.5 full turns for proper engagement, or go longer. But too long will bottom out. Not a lot of wiggle room here.
There is one upside for you. You should have no problem selling those 235/45 snows to someone with an A4, S4, or A6. That's a much more common size and there's always people looking for used snows.
Oh, and I've always been curious to see what that wheel would look like on an allroad. Be sure to post pics.
Hope that helps.

Thanks, ordered, $300 ouch!
about $130 per pair + shipping
Tyler said there would be no brake clearance issues with the spacers
onto tires and a nicey smoked chromish paint job
black is nicey, but still a bit too common
its startin to add up
