Default K&N filter replacement snafu

OOps! As I was swapping out the paper element for a new K&N filter one of the four clips got lose and drop under the air box. how do i remove the air box to locate and recover this clip? i removed a small bolt which holds the box to the left frame, but the box is refusing to budge. what am I missing?

Default Re: Question to all re: K&N filters.....

I was under the impression from prior postings that aftermarket oil based air filters were a no-no for allroads because they screwed up the O2 sensor with oil residue. Can some of you tech heads chime in on this?

Thanks!

I just want to confirm, just one bolt holding the air box to the left engine bay. Remove this bolt and pull the box straight up and out of the engine bay. Is this correct?

Default Re: just don't go overboard when re-oiling. MAF from Hitachi

interesting. It's a global market.
