K03 Turbos for Sale in Marketplace...
...New for $650. Are all K03 turbos the same? Looking to get spares for 150,000 mile allroad and this looks like a good deal. BTW, do you need to remove the engine to change them out like RMcQ did?

No and No. The turbos have to be KO3, for a 2.7Audi, there are many variants for different
applications. You can do them without taking he engine all the way out but it isn't easier , and really the only step left trying not to take out the engine is diconecting the wiring and dopping the engine on the floor.

Yes, engine removal/displacement is mandatory....
...I'd personally pull the engine if you're a first-timer, but (edit: It's my understanding that) you CAN get to the turbos by disconnecting the electrical/firewall connectors, and then removing the 8 subframe bolts and lowering the engine. Personally, though, I'd go for full removal, for better visibility and access.
PS Going to KO4's will cost you about $2500
BTW, to editorialize a bit, if you are somewhat experienced with pulling even big, dumb truck engines (like I am/was), the turbo R+R is NOT HARD. It's not exactly quick or so easy you don't have to think about it, but it is straightforward.

MY .02....
Due to the enormous amount of labor needed to install both turbos, I would shy away from used.
Your really don't know what you are getting. Even with new ones, there are problems at times.
