Largest wheel/tire on allroad
What is the largest size wheel/tire combo that can be put on an allroad?
Would a 255/35/19 on the RS6 replica (with the spacer) work? Is there anyone out there that is running the 19" replicas? Pics if you do) Or is the 245/45/18 be a far better choice? .....reason for asking, I am having a heck of a time finding some winter wheels (yes I know its July :) ) so I was looking at some 18" or 19" replica wheels and keeping the 17" for some winter tires. Suggestions? |
I run AST 4s in 19.

wheels are 20x8.5's with 35et + 20mm spacers = 15et
bolts 45mm tires 245/35/20 you could go 255 no problem, & probably 265, or 275 even http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...r/P1050750.jpg |

25 et 18x9.5" rims with 265/40/18's and 8mm spacers on the front and 5mm spacer in the rear.

those of you that are running spacers, ever have any vibration issues?
I am trying to the get the RS6 replica in a 19x8.0 ET30, but it says I would need a 15mm spacer to make it fit - and according to the wheel place, it causes bad vibrations at around 100-115km/h |
Whoops, meant to say 18" ASA ST4 on 245/40R18.

I run 255-45-18's on my RS6 Reps. 18x8 ET35 with a 16mm spacer.

245/35/20 front with 25mm spacers 20x8.5 (will be going to a 245/40/20 this weekend to get a closer match in circumference since I just went up a size in the rear)
275/35/20 rear with 10mm spacers 20x10 Attachment 79968 Attachment 79969 BTW I had 255/40/19 tires on my 19's with no issues as well |
any vibration with the spacers?
|
I have a little wheel shake, but not because of the spacers, I need an alignment bad, I put the stock wheels on to confirm with no spacers, but I am waiting to get the new front tires before I get it aligned
|
Spacers shouldn't induce vibration if they are made correctly. Biggest thing to be careful of is to make sure the centering hub is the correct size so that the spacer sits flat and tight before mounting.

Sorry for all the questions, just I have considered going to a rear stagger and was thinking about doing a stasis center diff to shift the power bias rearward... fj.. |

Allroad Wheels
I have a set of genuine RS4 wheels on my Allroad - 18 x 8.5 ET20 running 245/45/18 - these have reduced inner clearance by 8mm and the wheels extend out into the arches by an extra 18mm. The car feels and drives much better than with the stock rims, but has not compromised the ride quality too much. The car also has a slightly more aggressive - but still understated look.

Looks awesome iindeed. So we have established that a 9.5" will fit all four corners, Does anyone know if a 10" can squeeze? I'm running 20x8.5 with 255/35 pirelli's but Ihave the itch to put these tires on a 10" wheel.
here's how she sits now: |

Check out Adaptec Speedware for custom built (and affordably priced) wheel spacers. 10" wide will fit as my 275's are wider than the 9.5 in wheel, but I don't like the stretched look so I put on tires that prevent some potential curb rash. I don't want that. Yeah, 10" will fit, but if you don't get the fitment JUST right, they will probably poke out too much, however 255's on them will look absolutely incredible. |
