I just weakend my resolve and travelled the 10 minutes to Grand Prix Auto in Wantagh for an oil change. M1 with a Mann filter and he only charged me $70.00. I was very pleased with this as the shops near work have been getting $85+ from me. (no DIY Desire)

The mood at Grand Prix (an APR, Miltek, Brembo performance mod/repair shop) is different than my own past experieince and what others have reported. Phil, the owner did not try to sell me anything. He did not suggest diverter valves, brakes, exhaust upgrades, what ifs..etc. as was his reuptation.

I was in an out in 20 minutes. But this was long enough to see his brand new Snap On 4 wheel alignment system and..BIG AND.. his brand new..still shinny, DYNAPAK 4 Wheel Dyno System.
The only on on Long Island. He is also looking for larger space.

On the grounds were a R32 that he just supercharged and did some other mods, an s4 that is getting K04s, RS4 intercoolers, a German spec 6 speed and more. (the owner called and I heard the laundry list.)

So I think that there may be a good shop in the 'remaking' that is close to many of us.
