I dropped the pan and these are in there. I had no gears, just high revs until it went into limp. Can anyone e tell me what these are and what I need to repair. Whole trans rebuild? Thanks for the help. Uu

Yes it is. I’m buying a transmission with 63,000 on it from a 2003 Allroad donor. Any suggestion on what I should do to it other than new filter and fluid before install? Thanks for responding so much!

It is recommended to replace the transmission fluid and filter before you connect the transmission to the car. Depending on the color and smell and metal chips in the oil pan it can tell you sam thing on the internal state of the trans'

Drain the transmission fluid, disassemble the pan, look for chips and metal pieces on the magnetrs. check the fluid for a burnt smell. if all OK, replace the filter and closed the pan with a new gasket. Fill the fluid ( About 5 liter) after the trans' assembled in the car
