Default Re: Jaba FREE SPEAK...2 versions..

You mean jabRa Freespeak.... Yes there are two versions of that headset. One is the headset only if you already have a Bluetooth phone... the second is the same headset with a BT transceiver that plugs into your cell phone audio jack.

BT200 = for non-BT phones
BT250 = Phone with BT

They also make a version for the nokia phones since nokia doesn't use 2.5mm jacks on their phones.

Default Motorola Speaker Kit

Motorola makes a kit that accepts the V60 and V70 (and probably many more that have the same plug at the bottom) that works very well. You plug it into the lighter for power and it has a little speaker box that fits under the armrest. You plug a wire from the the speaker box into the phone. I don't know where the mic is but it works well with the speaker under the armrest and the phone on the passenger seat or dangling. The volume and clarity are fine and nobody complains about being able to hear me.

I think that the kit cost about $60. I plug it into the lighter for the rear seat and use a Radio Shack gadget to make it turn on and off when I turn off the ignition. (For reasons unknown, Audi leaves the lighter live when the ignition is off.)

I agree that's why I started selling them. It's pretty much plug and play in an allroad. I also brought in the VSM cradle mount and radio tools to support my Audi brothers (and sisters)!

Default Stopped by the Verizon store and found out the ......

Motorola V710 BlueTooth phone should be available in a few weeks. Sounds like they will also send out techs to install the Bluetooth kit in your car.

I plan to order the Phone and the Kit and have them install. Will provide update after installation.

Actually, no. But it looks like the wiring is the same so it is probably the newer version of the same thing. Mine is black with rectangular speaker unit.
