Misfire on No. 5 & associated scan
My Allroad suddenly played up with a misfire: I changed the coil packs around, but the misfire stayed on No. 5. I put new plugs in, no change. I've replaced a couple of rubber connections, but that hasn't helped. I've checked all the fuses I could find: all ok. The car starts easily, doesn't overheat or do anything strange.
I'm seeking help for the following scan results:-
Vehicle : /scaN/MAKE/EUROPE/audi/
Test Path : Systems , Auto Scan(Common), Read Codes, Read Codes, Vehicle Record, Audi-, 01-Engine, Read Codes
Read Codes
17955 Boost Pressure Regulation Valve (N75): Short to Ground : P1547 - static - No indication on display
17833 EVAP Purge Valve (N80): Short to Ground : P1425 - static - No indication on display
17843 Secondary Air Pump Relay (J299): Short to Ground : P1435 - static - No indication on display
17829 Secondary Air Injection Solenoid Valve (N112): Short to Ground : P1421 - static - No indication on display
17529 Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor Heating Circuit: B2 S2: Short to Ground : P1121 - static - No indication on display
17697 Boost Pressure Control Valve (N249): Short to Ground : P1289 - static - No indication on display
17525 Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor Heating Circuit: B1 S2: Short to Ground : P1117 - static - No indication on display
17775 Cylinder 5 Ignition Circuit: Open Circuit : P1367 - static - No indication on display
17861 Exhaust Gas Temp Sensor 1 (G235): Open or Short to Plus : P1453 - Intermittent
17865 Exhaust Gas Temp Sensor 2 (G236): Open or Short to Plus : P1457 - Intermittent
16486 Mass Air Flow Sensor (G70): Signal too Low : P0102 - static - No indication on display
17523 Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor Heating Circuit: B1 S1: Short to Ground : P1115 - static - No indication on display
17527 Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor Heating Circuit: B2 S1: Short to Ground : P1119 - static - No indication on display
16518 Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B1 S1: No Activity : P0134 - static - No indication on display
16538 Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B2 S1: No Activity : P0154 - static - No indication on display
The pattern common to most of the readings is 'Short to ground'. This makes me think that the cause is electronic somewhere.
Has anyone had this problem, or know what may be wrong. It was running fine, all I changed were the EGT sensors.
