Default Most everyone pleased with the OEM bra for the AR?

I was debating on buying one to protect the car on longer trips and around town driving when the car is clean. I know the downsides of bras, but not sure my hood is clean enough to put the clear protectant on (3M adhesive, Clearbra, etc.)

Are the mirror covers terrible? Don't ever hear of anyone using them. Wouldn't think they would be too bad on a black car.

Default I think your question should be does anyone use a bra.

I don't know of anyone with an allroad that does, for that matter an Audi. Many use the 3M clearbra.

Default I had it for a while...

Sold mine. Never used the mirror covers. It looks good. Getting it tight and non-flapping can be tricky. It is good for protection. I only used it in the winter.

Default Look out for scratches on hood from OEM bra!!

No matter how tight you get the straps there will still be some flapping about that will cause small surface scratches on the hood-accordingly mine's been in the garage for years.

Default Re: Is Audi above a traditional bra and only worthy of 3m clear?

I bought my AR used and Clearbra dealers claim it is not a good route with a used car with any real mileage.

Default I think AllItalian had one for his car.

...and didn't have any problems with using it. I had ordered one from the dealer last year for my annual trip from DC to the Outer Banks, NC, but the bra didn't come in on time. Never thought about getting it again, but most likely will this year.

Default I've always been afraid of wind damage from the bra. besides

It's kind of like going to the Prom with your hair in curlers. Just keep the front area well waxed and polished.

Default

I have bras for both cars, but only for road trips. Around town/every day they're stored away.

Default I don't think it's above a traditional bra... I think they are a pain in the ***

to use on a daily basis due to contamination. The 3M would be fine except it will potentially highlight any imperfection on a car with mileage.

Default Never used one on the allroad, but used to run them on

my old Porsches. But they were purely sunny summer cars. not sure I'd be patient enough to try to fit to the allroad. And with my car being silver, wouldn't like the look.
