Is my AR the only one that doesn't adjust ride height with speed automatically?
Searching the archives, I read something about having a trailer hitch wiring harness affecting the 'normal' operation. But I don't have a trailer hitch installed. The previous owner may have done something...but I'm not aware of it.
Does anyone have a picture of the trailer hitch wiring harness so that I can see if its on my car? |
Level 1 won's self adjust...
I ride on level 1 a lot and it doesn't self-adjust. All other levels it reacts to speed.

So if you put it in level 3 and go 80 mph it stays in level 3?
|
If on level 2 and over 80 mph for around 30 secs it should drop to level 1....
and should go back up to level 2 when you come to a complete stop. I don't believe 2002 AR has the manual adjust mode like the 2001 model.
|
Try this: while stopped go all the way up to level 4 (highest setting)>>>
start driving the car. It should very quickly drop to lever 3, then drop to level 2 at about 50 MPH. If you drop below 50 for a certain amount of time it should raise back to 3. The speed of dropping from 2 to 1 was increased some in newer models so I'd have to get the manual out for that speed. I find that if I manually put our AR in level 1 or 2 it will never move. Only when placed in level 3 or 4 will it work automatically.

drive faster. in newer allroads to drop from 2 to 1 requires you to go over 90mph.

That must be what I'm missing...
I always have it in either level 2 or level 1. I've only been on level 3 one time...
I did notice once when messing around with it that I couldn't get it to go to level 3 at 75 mph or so. Thanks all, I'll test it out tomorrow. |
