Default Nav Plus in U.S. RS6 Avant???

See the below link I found on Yahoo Classifieds.

Fin, Maybe you know more about this then the rest of us....
But it is my understanding that Nav Plus is not available in the U.S. - Even at a "price".

I'm tempted to call on this add (since it's in our neck of the woods).
To see for myself if this is stock, aftermarket or maybe even a Sham...
If you look closely at the pics it appear as if they might be of an overseas dealer???<ul><li><a href="http://classifieds.autos.yahoo.com/class/detail.html?srid=375000121&amp;cid=automobiles-1042512585-6477053&amp;ct_p=&amp;cr=San+Francisco+Bay+Area&am p;gur=&amp;ct_l=&amp;fullnodeid=750047311&amp;ck=& amp;za=and&amp;cl_y=&amp;ch_y=&amp

Default I don't think the RS6 AVANT is even available in the US.

The RS6 sedan - yes. The S6 Avant - yes. But is the RS6 Avant available here??

Default Heh... you're looking at the Nav+ and forgetting that RS6 Avant's aren't available in the US... =)

So, the Nav+ may be real, but I'd try to find out about the wagon itself!

Default You're so right...

I thought the Avant RS wasn't coming to U.S. so I was curious if this was some sort of "gray market" as vtheman indicates or scam. How could anyone (dealer) actually try to pull off selling a car that isn't available???

My main interest was the Nav Plus. I thought regardless of being an "S" or "RS" I wanted to know if it was coming with the Nav Plus! There's still part of me that wants to try it out (after market) to see for myself - even though I already know the outcome. 8-(

Default If you're willing to wait 2 model years...

The rumor is getting very strong that Audi will bring a new DVD based Nav+ to the US in the 2005 Model Year S4. (It may have been announced officially, but since I read it on the B6 S4 forum, I'll just refer to it as rumor.)

But, if true, I presume the option will exist for all of us to retrofit it to our cars... and it would be far superior to the current CD based option.
