Need 2004 valuation help please...
For the last few years, I'm a mule on this site for my in-law's '02 TT which I love and our good friend's 2004 allroad which is a sadder story. The problem/opportunity is the 2.7, 6 speed allroad. They have had this car since new but it's starting to go down hill (figuratively) and they've asked me to help dispatch it.
155k miles. It's rough all over but has been serviced regularly and has always run well and still does. It's had regular oil changes. The clutch is good and it shifts well. It got a timing belt and coil packs. The exhaust has been cobbed at the flex joints. A few of the little interior bits are broken or missing and the interior looks rough but the leather is good. New mats and a good cleaning would go a long way. The wheels don't look so great. There are a few scratches and dents but nothing big and nothing missing on the body. The front air bags are shot so it looks slammed in the front if it sits for a day. It will pump up if you're patient and enter the proper magical combination of commands on the dash. It will go down the road. The cowling tray at the base of the windshield is detached and it leaks water into the A/C vents and to the back passenger floor but there doesn't appear to be any other damage from water. No electrical issues I know of although the dash looks like a christmas tree.
Could you all please throw some numbers out because I don't know where to start. They're done and don't want to put any $ in. They just want it to go away. I get a commission so I'm willing to work it a little. Thanks in advance for any help, C.
Edit: I was way off on the miles and corrected it to the 155k. I'll check when the the t-belt was done. C.
