Default need a clutch....

So this morning my clutch in my 03' allroad started slipping, So I'm proabbly going to need a replacement soon. Was wondering what are my options? Would like a lighter flywheel since the stock one is pretty heavy, and would like to keep the cost as low as possible. Whats out there?
Also how much of a PITA is this? Are there any writeups out there?

Thanks!

Default if you have access to a lift it's not bad... on your garage floor it's a PITA

lightened flywheel wouldn't be on my list of "to do's" (faster spoolup but loss of rotational inertia), but there are some options out there for the 2.7T. Check the normal tuners, AWE, ECS, ASP. As far as the clutch goes, I have 65K on the RS4 clutch with a re-enforced RS4 pressure plates, no complaints.

who's got the best price for a clutch kit and for a tad lighter flywheel? If the flywheels are too expensive im just going to reuse the stock unit.

throwing the clutch out is no different, engagement is smooth, not grabby

Default I rock a Southbend OFE with an RS4 PP.....

Great holding power, linear and predictable engagement (read: slightly slippable if you want), and very little chatter when used with the stock flywheel.

Default If you're reusing the flywheel, have it resurfaced, and make sure to use someone who has experience

resurfacing dual-mass flywheels. I went with resurfaced stock and an RS4 flywheel and I've been happy - it's been about 60,000 miles, IIRC.

Idealy what I want is something lighter then stock, smooth but firmer engagement then stock and cheap!! lol. don't want anything too crazy for this thing, I have my M3 for that stuff.
