Default Need help identifying a part the dealer had leftover ...

Recently had the car in for the O2 sensor recall, oil change and wipers replacement ... Picked up the car and I find a small sable black Audi part laying in the passenger footwell that looks like some kind of trim piece about 1-1/4" x 3" with the following identification: Audi rings/Germany/TBO/4B0 853 590 >PA 6.6< There is also a large capital "R" molded in perhaps indicating a right side part. I've looked high and low and cannot see where it reattachs to the interior trim or under dash, seats, etc.

Can anyone identify? I can always show it to the dealer in next service call. Photo can be taken if necessary.

go to vwparts.com and put in the part number, it will tell you what it is.

Default No help there. They just call it a "foil cover". I'll save it for the next dealer trip.

They don't show where it fits.

Default I know in the driver side there is a piece that always pop off..

under the driver's seat in the front right between your legs. When moving the seat back and fore it would rubbed against the mat and pop off. Especially if you have winter mats since there are taller.
Since you mentioned that the piece is a right sided piece, go and check for a matching one on the driver's side. I'll bet its the piece I am talking about.
