Need Tire Recommendation
My OEM Goodyear tires are ready for replacement at 35,000 (in 10 months; I love this car). Should I go for in kind replacement? I would like to get one size bigger simply because thay look cool. What's the current thinking on brand, model, and size.
Thanks, Thom

I just ordered Michelin Pilot Sport A/S in a 245/50/17! Great reviews from AR forum and tire rack.
225/55/17 size is avalable in that tire for about the same price as the goodyear's but for about $100 more you can 0 size plus and go wider and keep your aspect ratio (speedo etc) the same. See link below! For the kind of cash they want for those goodyears you can do much better!

Agreed
If you only plan to have one set of tires go with the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. If you decide you want more than one set a nice combo is Bridgestone Pole Position S03s for the warmer months and Dunlop M2s (or new M3s) for the winter. I have the S03s on 18" rims and I'm very pleased. I plan to get M2s or M3s for my 17" stock rims and run those in winter. Good luck!
