Is the new A8 not the best looking new car on the road. I was just at the dealer had happen to get my first up close look at one. Every inch of the car looks great, Nothing looks quirky like so many other new cars. It just looks perfect. Congrats Audi you did it right again, now don't make the pikes peek, just take the new A6 and create a new allroad from that.

I know the previous A6 and the AR have more classic look but listen in the same token I like the Ferrari 305 and 308 better than the newest models...

It shares more styling cues inside and out with the Touareg and Phaeton than the A8. Save for the goofy new grille shape, it looks like it should be the replacement for the Passat, rather than the A6.

It's almost as if the decision to make it an Audi was rather late in development, or that the Touareg and Phaeton were designed for Audi instead.

I love the A8 and agree that it is totally gorgeous inside and out. Go to the audiusa.com website and check out the gallery. There is a shot of the optional wood steering wheel with paddles that is exquisite. I'm off lease endo of 05 and will look at the short wheelbase A8 and maybe even the S8 if its around. It is a work of art.
